This significant milestone enables us to start transactions in our OTC marketplace with the approval of EU authorities. The trading operations will be opened during Q3/2024.
What is the ACER
The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) is a European Union body established to assist national regulatory authorities in performing their regulatory functions at the EU level. ACER’s primary role is to ensure the efficient functioning of the European internal energy market. It works towards achieving an integrated market that operates smoothly and benefits consumers by ensuring transparency, competition, and the security of supply. ACER also monitors and evaluates the implementation of EU energy regulations and contributes to the development of common regulatory practices across Europe.
What is the ACER Organized Marketplaces List?
The ACER Organized Marketplaces List contains platforms that commit to the principles of transparency and reliability in energy trading across Europe. This list is part of the REMIT (Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency) framework, which aims to prevent market manipulation and insider trading in the energy markets. Platforms included on this list are recognized for their compliance with stirct regulatory standards, ensuring that transactions are reported accurately and timely. Being listed by ACER signifies that a marketplace meets the high standards required for maintaining a fair and efficient energy market, providing participants with a trustworthy environment for trading.
